Ellen is Co-Founder of Invest for Better and a Senior Partner at The Philanthropic Initiative, where she formerly served as CEO and President. She is a passionate advocate for women using the power of philanthropy and investing to influence social and environmental change, a path she has pursued with her own resources and as President of her family’s foundation. She is a former chair of the Women’s Philanthropy Institute and currently serves on the Boards of Prosperity Catalyst, the Maine Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and the Remmer Family Foundation, as well as on the Leadership Council of Oxfam America. She lives in Boston and Maine with her husband Chris, and is delighted to have 2 grown, married children, and 2 wonderful grandchildren.
